Can we just turn up on the day? - We need to ensure places are booked for lunch, or coffee etc so we must have numbers before we leave to office to meet you. We are able to take bookings up to 1 hour prior to departure, BUT of course this is subject to availability.
Can you tell us where we go? - Blanket information on where we go is not what we do, as we update our information regularly, and it is dependant on group size and weather on the day. We do however generally focus on the central city area ( other than the Vintage Outing - which includes the inner suburbs)
Can I pay by Cheque? - yes we take payment by cheque, credit card, or direct debit - checking of availability is important before you send money
Who will be the tour host? Our tour hosts are all identified on our "team" page. Due to the nature of our busines, it is difficult to guarantee who will be looking after you on the day, but we will try if special requests are made.
Is there much walking? We only do tours of 2 - 4 hours in length, but walking is not too strenuous. The distances covered are between 1km - 2.5km
Do you pick up from our hotel? Due to the nature of a walking tour, it is a better use of your investment to meet us at a central place, but for private bookings we may arrange to meet you at your inner city hotel.- please check when doing a private booking.
I want to do a tour outside of the times listed on the website... - We do offer private booking options - that can be arranged for times outside of our schedule. Its always worth checking for private bookings - this includes bookings for small groups, as well as for just 2 people.
We have a group, but dont want to put the full booking on one credit card - can we pay on the day? We need to take a deposit in this situation, or the imprint of a credit card to hold as security. Then actual payent can be done in cash on the day. Please call for information 03 96633358.
Do we need to reconfirm? We do suggest its always prudent to reconfirm, especially if you have bought through a third party etc, so we can ensure you have correct meeting details and we have your emergency contact details. But it is not obligatory. We take no responsibility for incorrect information if provided by a third party. Call 03 96633358 to leave your confirmation.
What happens if we are not able to join the tour? There are cancellation terms and conditions noted on our website. Travel insurance is always advisable.
Do we get to choose where we go? For all our scheduled tours the tour host will predetermine the route, but private touring there is some opportunity to make requests.
Are children allowed on the tours? We will never say no, but do note that we do not have children’s pricing. We generally say our tours are suitable for anyone between 15 - 85 - Parents need to decide how much of a hindrance having a child on tour will be to their own experience as well as other patrons. Prams are not ideal due to steps during the walk. ( obviously you must be over 18 to consume alcohol.)
What languages are the tours conduced in? Currently, we conduct all tours in English. Fiona, company director is also able to host in French - we do not have any staff hosts to take the tours in other languages at this stage
